Aborted JMT attempt with Steve
My friend Steve wanted to do a “fastpack” of the John Muir Trail. He aimed to do the trip in about 6 days. He wanted some company, and this sounded exciting to me, so we made the preparations and started. We had a good first day, but near the end of the day, Steve got a little confused. We stopped about where we had planned, but the next day, he had a lot of back pain. He suffered through that pain for another day, but by the next day, he decided to call it quits.
